Spiritual Formation Groups Aldersgate offers many spiritual formation groups for adults to grow in faith and in community. Each group begins in August and goes through May. Currently we offer Disciple Bible Study 1, 2, 3, & 4, Christian Believer, and Companions in Christ. For more information on these studies go to www.cokesbury.org
The Master Plan is an opportunity for adults to explore and discover the gifts, calling, and purpose God has for them in the world. Offered throughout the year in a variety of formats, the Master Plan is helping Aldersgate’s adults find happiness through living out God’s will for their lives. Covenant Groups meet weekly for prayer, sharing, support, and accountability.
Short-term Studies on a variety of topics such as parenting, marriage enrichment, financial stewardship, etc. are offered throughout the year. They may last anywhere from four to twelve weeks, and focus on applying the Bible to daily living. See the newsletter for current offerings.
ESP (Every Single Person 35-55) is a monthly ministry that seeks to meet the fellowship and spiritual needs of single adults. For more information contact Fran Hatton at 643-1748.
Cursillo is a statewide spiritual renewal weekend offered six times a year. Adults may attend as individuals or as couples. For more information contact Rick Lightfoot at 649-5736.
The Fellowship Supper is offered every Wednesday evening from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the John Wesley Center The cost is $4.00 for adults and $3.00 for children age 12 and under.
United Methodist Men The Men’s Club is a support fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually, and to live out the Christian faith in all of their relationships. Their commitment to evangelism and missions is reflected in their Annual Fishing Rodeo for Kids each June. The UMM meet the first Saturday of each month at 8:30 a.m. in Genesis Hall for a devotion and a service project. For more information contact Dale Kimball at 641-5829.
United Methodist Women is a mission-focused group for women. Meetings, retreats, and conferences are held throughout the year on the local, district, and state levels. For more information contact Carol Thiele at 641-5829.
Pickle Ball is an indoor, tennis-like sport created by the Navy. Men & women meet to play in the John Wesley Center on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. For more information contact Ron Davis at 643-9656.
Step Aerobics meet each Monday night and Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. in the John Wesley Center. After exercise the time is concluded with a devotional and prayers for each other.
Grownups is a lunch time, potluck gathering for senior adults on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 12:00 noon in Genesis Hall. Each meeting includes a fun filled program. For more information contact Jan Donnelly at 643-6970.
