Counseling
Needs Persons come for
counseling individually, as a couple, or as a family, depending on
the needs. Counseling concerns include stress, anxiety, depression,
relationship problems, grief, anger, parent-child problems, and
addictions. Spiritual needs, questions, and practices are often
addressed. If you have questions about other concerns, feel free to
call for information.
Contact The office is
located on the church campus in the Cokesbury
building. The sign out front says: Counseling Center. The church
address is 360 Robert Blvd. The phone is (985)643-1019. For
emergencies call (985) 641-5829 and ask for the counselor on
call. Dr. Thiele is also available at a satellite office in Uptown
New Orleans through the Trinity Counseling Center at 2108 Coliseum
St.
Cost A sliding scale is available for those who do not choose to
use their medical insurance. The scale is from $60 -100. Each family
decides the amount they can afford for the sessions. For those who
use their insurance, we can be of assistance in determining
coverage for mental health/counseling needs.
Statistics
Each year there are over 700
counseling sessions offered to individuals, couples, and families.
On average, 100 sessions per year are offered to the unemployed
members of the church free of charge.
