Aldersgate’s youth are a vital part of the mission and ministry of this church. From the Youth Worship Service on Sunday nights to choir tours to local and national mission trips, the youth of Aldersgate are growing in their friendships and in their faith. Check out the ways youth can get involved in the descriptions below.

For more information contact Susan Burnell,

Sunday School—Aldersgate offers a full range of Sunday School classes for 7th through 12thyouth_group.jpg (51845 bytes) graders. Classes meet from 9:30—10:30 a.m. For class locations see the yellow Sunday School brochure.

A.U.M.Y. (Aldersgate United Methodist Youth) on Sunday Evenings– The Junior High and Senior High meet in Genesis Hall every Sunday evening from 5:00—7:00 p.m. for missions, fellowship, Bible study, games, choir, and a snack supper. During this time the youth celebrate a youth worship service led by their own Youth Praise Band.

Hide-A-Way Groups--meet once a week in homes for fellowship and Bible study. There are separate groups for Jr. High Boys, Jr. High Girls, Sr. High Boys, and Sr. High Girls. Being connected with friends through a week night ministry is a great tool to enrich your walk with Christ during the week.

Jr. High Escape - On Wednesdays from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. our 7th and 8th graders meet for a snack supper along with fellowship, team building activities, and a devotion time. Come and escape with us on Wednesdays in Genesis Hall.

Youth Hand Bells— The youth hand bell choir meets for rehearsal on Thursday nights from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in room 303. It performs in Sunday morning worship and in other musical opportunities in the community.

Summer Mission Trips — Each summer the youth grow in faith and service through being in mission. These mission experiences are the highlight of the youth ministry.
